No, not the tv people, the monsters. Although I'm not sure what connects the telly with the monsters on the streets of London. Unless they are somehow trapped inside the tv, and are let loose when someone tries to turn it on.
It's 1953, and televison is still relatively new...if a monster came out of the tv the first time I ever turned it on, I'd never watch tv again!
