Just a few links from the BBC this week:
Doctor Who video clips on the move Because the new series video clips have been so popular, it's been putting a strain on the BBC servers, so they've had to move some of the clips (the broadband ones) to a different server. Classic clips and low res clips still have the same home, though.

New DWM Warning: It's a bit of a spoiler for those who haven't seen Utopia and beyond.

Blink (NO spoilers)

Oh, wow! That was awesome! I love Steve Moffat-his episodes haven't disappointed me yet-and I'm really excited that he's going to pen another two-parter for the next series!!!

First, let me start off by saying I'm a big fan of watching movies that scare the crap out of me-not the blood and gore types, but the more suspenseful ones that keep you on the edge of your seat.

This episode was perfect for that.

It started off slow and creepy, with a few lighthearted moments thrown in here or there. Then the suspense just kept building until at one point I actually screamed and dove under the throw pillows on the couch- like I was 4 years old again watching something from the Hinchcliffe and Holmes era. (Man, that was good stuff.)

This episode even creeped my friend Jerm out-and it takes alot to creep him out. A LOT.

Bravo, Mr. Moffat, bravo!!!
DON'T BLINK!!

Series four writers revealed! Besides Russel T., Steven Moffat will be the only other writer to have contributed to all four seasons of the new series. He'll be doing another two-parter-yay!

If you haven't already discovered it online, you should check out the Human Nature e-book. The BBC has made a downloadable version, plus there is a new article by Paul Cornell-explaining how he adapted the novel into the televised version.

Unitnews has a synopsis for the latest issues of Doctor Who Magazine (
issue #383) and Doctor Who Adventures (issue #31).

New audio books! Read by the Joneses! ;)

Cute little story from the boy who won the Blue Peter competition on the set of Utopia.

from Outpost Gallifrey:
BBC Radio Wales is doing another run of the program Doctor Who Back in Time, starting this Saturday, June 9th. The program airs at 1pm, and will be available in their Listen again schedule for 7 days afterwards.

Congrats to Freema Agyeman! She's won Glamour's award for best newcomer!

Final ratings for Human Nature and overnight ratings for Family of Blood. Hey, Family of Blood got an AI rating of 86. Cool. :)

And finally, just for fun: the other astrology of the Doctors.
Someone over on LiveJournal did a post listing the different Doctor actor's Chinese astrological signs. This was in response to another post that listed the actor's astrological signs.

Marcon, part 2

Panels are always fun for me. Unfortunately I missed the Torchwood panel, but I did make it to the two Doctor Who panels. I always find the panels informative, and you have to give the panelists credit for trying to keep it as spoiler-free as possible(sometimes you just can't control what the audience says). It's a great place to ask questions, and to discuss and debate different aspects of our favorite show! Also, it's nice to be able to talk to people whose eyes won't glaze over after you've been talking about Doctor Who for only 10 minutes. ;)
(sorry about the fuzzy pic-I was laughing when I took this-thanks to the Dalek impersenation-which was very good, btw. I think we gave Kevin Sorbo, who was in the next room, a run for his money. LOL)

Saturday we had an all-Who club meeting. There's been talk about a unity of Ohio Doctor Who clubs-we'd still have our own clubs (DWC, Friends of a Timelord, and Ohio-Type 40). But we would all work together to organize big projects, help each other out with building up memberships, working on pledge drives, etc. It'll be interesting to see where all of this leads... :)

All in all, I had an absolutely fantastic time, and I hope more of you can make it next year! I love putting names to faces. :)

And finally, I'll leave you with the sign from our video room:

Don't forget DWC has a steering meeting next Friday, June 7th, and a monthly club meeting Saturday, June 23rd!
