Day of the Moon Showing at Grandview

Hey everyone! The lovely folks at the Grandview Theatre will be showing part two of the season premiere, 'Day of the Moon', Saturday night starting at 9pm.

In addition to part 2, they will also be showing the Sarah Jane memorial special.

Admission is free and open to the public. This is also a family-friendly event, so bring the kids! :)

Also, to help them with the costs of losing the ticket sales, we need to be kind and buy our food and drink from the concession stand. They have a full range of fountain drinks, popcorn, candy, and also a large selection of bottled beer and wine to choose from. They also offer pizza, subs, and salads. Check out their website menu for more info. http://www.grandviewtheatre.net

Hope to see you there!

Doctor Who series 6 Premiere Party

Don't forget our Doctor Who Premiere party, tomorrow! The party starts at Andrew's, then will move to the Grandview Theatre for the premiere of series 6!

From Andrew:
"The Party at my house will begin at 4pm. We should have snacks and drinks available. We will be showing any relevant news and interviews I can come up with. At the moment that will include 2 or 3 of the Craig Ferguson episodes including tonight's with Karen Gillan. I know I've at least one request to show an introduction to Dr. Who. I have the Doctors/Enemies/Companion specials as well as the pre and post-Eccleston specials, More than 30 Years in the TARDIS and others to chose from. There will also be the Sarah Jane 15 minute special which will certainly be shown too.

For the theater:
Their current movie will be ending at 8:30pm or so, so unfortunately we can't watch all of the pre-episode special being shown on BBC America. However barring accidents we will show the Sarah Jane special before the airing of the episode at 9pm.
After the episode they are going to show a movie again, so if anyone is interested in return to my house for more fun, and viewings they are free to do so."

If you have any questions, contact Andrew (his info is in the DWC Yahoo list).

Hope to see you there!

RIP Elisabeth Sladen

I just heard the news a few hours ago-right now I am at a loss for words.

I will probably be writing up a tribute of my own sometime within the next few days. Andrew is creating a video tribute which he is planning to show during the "Look Behind You!" party on Saturday.

Farwell, Sarah Jane.

Hello everyone!

First, I'd like to apologize for neglecting this blog last month-real life has a habit of becoming so busy, I never have time to post!

Next-our monthly steering meeting is tonight! 7-9pm at the Giant Eagle Market District at Kingsdale.

Marcon is just under two months away!! Although the time to sign up as a staff member has past, if you would still like to help out a Marcon, stop on by!! If you just want to hang out and talk Who that's fine too! That's why we're here! :)

Anyone travel to LA for Gallifrey One in February? Got a story or picture to share? Send me an email and I'll feature it on this blog!

The new season of Doctor Who is just over 2 weeks away! Are you as excited as I am? :)

Hope to see you tonight!!
