June Steering Meeting

Hi all!

Everyone fully recovered from Marcon yet?? I hope everyone had a good time-I know I did! :)

Just a reminder that our June steering meeting is tonight from 7-9pm at the Giant Eagle Market District at Kingsdale. Marcon is over and we now will be planning our activities for the rest of the summer. Come throw your $.02 in!

If you just want to hang out and talk Who that's fine too-you know we love to talk Who!

Also, if you have any pictures or stories you would like to share on this blog, feel free to send me a note off-list. I have some pictures from the Doctor Who Match game-I'll post them as soon as I remember to take them off my camera! ;)

Also, don't forget about the contest going on over at Madman With A Box (I know, I know-not too hard to forget, as it was posted just before this! Humor me. ;) LOL )

Hope to see you at the steering meeting!

Contest Time!

Love Doctor Who? Love trivia? Love Doctor Who trivia? Well, dear readers, keep reading!

Don Krouskop, author of the recently published The Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey Trivia Quiz and the blog Madman With A Box, is giving away a free signed copy of his book to one lucky winner.

The contest? Why, it's easy! Guess the real identity of River Song! :-D

Don't give me that look! Okay, okay-seriously though-we all have our theories-who is the real River Song?

For rules and to enter, head on over to Guess River Song's Real Identity and Win at Madman and enter your guess in the comments.

Contest deadline is June 4th, 6:40pm UK TIME. (when the episode "A Good Man Goes To War" airs on BBC One). The winner will be announced on June 11th after the airing of AGMGTW on BBC America, to avoid spoilers for those who have to wait for the BBCA broadcast.

Answers left in the comments of this blog will NOT be counted, so be sure to click on the link to Don's post to participate!

Have fun!

Doctor Who series 6 Premiere Party

Don't forget our Doctor Who Premiere party, tomorrow! The party starts at Andrew's, then will move to the Grandview Theatre for the premiere of series 6!

From Andrew:
"The Party at my house will begin at 4pm. We should have snacks and drinks available. We will be showing any relevant news and interviews I can come up with. At the moment that will include 2 or 3 of the Craig Ferguson episodes including tonight's with Karen Gillan. I know I've at least one request to show an introduction to Dr. Who. I have the Doctors/Enemies/Companion specials as well as the pre and post-Eccleston specials, More than 30 Years in the TARDIS and others to chose from. There will also be the Sarah Jane 15 minute special which will certainly be shown too.

For the theater:
Their current movie will be ending at 8:30pm or so, so unfortunately we can't watch all of the pre-episode special being shown on BBC America. However barring accidents we will show the Sarah Jane special before the airing of the episode at 9pm.
After the episode they are going to show a movie again, so if anyone is interested in return to my house for more fun, and viewings they are free to do so."

If you have any questions, contact Andrew (his info is in the DWC Yahoo list).

Hope to see you there!
