Boy, Saturday sure was exciting, wasn't it?! I'm still grinning like a kid. I'm going to wait on writing a review for a few of days, to give folks who might have missed The Day of the Doctor a chance to watch it before I post any potential spoilers.
Speaking of folks who haven't seen it yet, or those who want to see it again-join us tonight at AMC Lennox at 7:30 pm or 10 pm for the 3-D showing of The Day of the Doctor! If you're not in the area, check for listings here!
If you're a fan of GetGlue, you probably noticed that the site seemed to crash at different points during the weekend. Apparently Whovians overloaded their servers! ;) There were quite a lot of stickers to be had. I myself managed to collect 32 over the last week (20 over the weekend alone)-and I know I missed quite a few!
Speaking of GetGlue-check out this gem that was found:
Day of the Doctor Sets World Record
Steven Moffat was presented with the Guinness World Record for the largest ever simulcast of a TV drama! The Day of the Doctor was broadcast in 94 countries across the world. Holy cow!!! Way to go, Moffat!! (Special thanks to AT&T for sponsoring the episode on BBC America during the first showing-which allowed it to be broadcast commercial free!)
Our "little" shin-dig made the Columbus Dispatch!
'Dr. Who' fans Celebrate Sci-Fi Show's 50th Birthday
Fans say 'Doctor Who' Still a Trip at 50!
(thank you, Mark Williams, for the coverage!)
Set aside 30 minutes to watch The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, a short written by Peter Davison featuring himself, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy in their own hilarious tribute to the 50th Anniversary special. OMG! :-D

I've been a fan of Orbital for years. When I found out they did a remix of the Doctor Who theme for the 40th anniversary, I was totally jazzed (it's featured on their album, The Altogether). For the 50th anniversary, Paul Hartnoll of Orbital decided to share a remix of Doctor Who and the Sea Devils that he did for a Doctor Who album of mixes that was sadly never made. Check it out here on SoundCloud!
Sea Devils Remix
(Personally, I hope they decide to release a cd of Doctor Who remixes-that would be AWESOME!)
Enjoy the 50th! If you're doing something special, take pictures so I can share them on the blog!
Happy 50th, Doctor Who!

ONE DAY.
One day, folks! ONE DAY! :-D
The BBC has released a second prequel online-check out The Last Day:
Also, check out Google.ca or Google.uk today- but be sure you have a lot of time on your hands! ;-)
Don't forget the Eleventh Doctor marathon continues on BBC America! Plus two new specials:
Doctor Who: Explained An all-new special, Doctor Who Explained, explores the mysterious and two-hearted alien who is the Doctor. Through exclusive interviews with principal cast members from the show’s 50-year history, including actors who have played the Doctor: Matt Smith, David Tennant, Peter Davison, and Tom Baker as well as actors who have played companions: Jenna Coleman, Karen Gillan, and Freema Agyeman, viewers get an insight to what happens behind-the-scenes of the award-winning sci-fi show. Starts at 8 pm ET
An Adventure in Space and Time: What do you get when you mix C.S. Lewis with H.G. Wells, and sprinkle in a bit of Father Christmas? An alien Time Lord exploring space and time in a Police Box spaceship called the “TARDIS” (Time And Relative Dimension in Space). Written by Mark Gatiss, the BBC AMERICA co-production, the film stars David Bradley (the First Doctor, William Hartnell), Brian Cox (BBC Head of Drama, Sydney Newman), Jessica Raine (Producer, Verity Lambert) and Sacha Dhawan (Director, Waris Hussein). An unlikely trio of misfits set out to create a genre series that all ages would love. William ‘Bill’ Hartnell, displeased with his career, was presented with a chance to break out of the hard-man roles he’d become known for. And with the instincts of first time producer, Verity Lambert and first time director, Waris Hussein, the Doctor was born. As the success of the show grew, William went from unhappy curmudgeon to beloved television star who relished his career resurgence and found a new lease on life. But all good things come to an end. How will Bill face leaving behind the part that has made him a hero to millions of children? And can the show survive without him? Journey back fifty years through space and time to witness the exciting beginning and untimely end of the First Doctor in this touching drama.
And last, but not least! The 50 Years of Doctor Who Extravaganza starts tomorrow at 11 am at the Grandview Theatre!!!!

The discussion includes how the actors got cast, how the roles changed their lives, how a ‘regeneration’ is recorded, and how filming the show in the 60's compares to today.
