Club news-and Urgent Marcon meeting!!!

Hey! If you happen to be reading this before 10am Sunday morning, Andrew just got word that there is going to be a Marcon ComCon meeting tomorrow (Sunday, Feb. 24th) at 2:30pm at the Whetstone Park Library. If you want to see more Doctor Who at Marcon (including guests, etc.), then THIS is the meeting you'll want to attend!! Come and show your support. Please note-unlike our meetings which are usually a combination of work and fun, this is a business meeting, so only come if you really want to be a part of it all.

We will be getting together around 11am at a nearby location to do club talk at strategy. Jarrod should be posting more info about the meeting place on the DWC group soon. Andrew is planning on putting future ConCom meetings in the calendar well in advanced so if you can't make tomorrow, but would like to attend one, you will still have an opportunity to do so. :)

Speaking of Marcon, you all know that we will be running the Brit Scifi video room as well as the Doctor Who Jeopordy! game. We will be needing volunteers to help out with both-so keep an eye on the DWC Yahoo list as well as this blog for more info on voluteering opportunites. It is with YOUR help that make these a success!! :)

Speaking of Doctor Who Jeopordy!, Marcia has put together a lovely list of all possible categories, and the number of questions we have for each. We've done quite a bit to get started, but there is still much to be done. Many categories have few or no questions, so get your thinking caps on, and come prepared to one of our meetings!! Marcia suggested trying to organize more meetings to work on this. Andrew has suggested Thursday, February 28th at Tommy's Pizza on Lane at 7pm. (I'll post a reminder again next week.)

Now that we are at 100 members, it was suggested that we might have more interaction with a message board, and Andrew has created one for us!! Check out his post on the DWC Yahoo list for the link and to add your suggestions on how to improve it (if it even needs improving...) and to show your support!! :)

Last, but not least, to anyone who attended Gallifrey One last weekend: If you have any pictures and/or stories you would like to share on this blog, please feel free to email them to me at the email I use on the Yahoo list. Thanks!
